NVIDIA’s GTC 2026: Jensen Huang to Unveil the Next Era of AI Infrastructure

NVIDIA’s annual GTC conference returns March 16-19 in San Jose, California, and it’s shaping up to be the biggest one yet. More than 30,000 attendees from over 190 countries are expected to descend on what NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang calls “the epicenter of the AI industrial era.”

Huang will deliver the keynote on Monday March 16, where he’s expected to unveil the company’s latest advancements across the full AI stack, from next-generation chips and AI factories to agentic systems and physical AI.

The conference comes at a critical moment. NVIDIA recently announced its Vera Rubin platform, featuring new H300 GPUs and a dedicated AI foundry for custom silicon, signalling the company’s intent to maintain its dominant position in the global AI hardware race. The platform is expected to enter full production later this year.

GTC 2026 will feature over 1,000 sessions, 150+ research poster presentations, and hands-on training across AI, accelerated computing, robotics, and data science. The event will span 10 venues across downtown San Jose, with NVIDIA turning the area into what it describes as an “AI campus.”

Notable speakers include Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas, LangChain CEO Harrison Chase, Mistral AI CEO Arthur Mensch, and representatives from major cloud platforms and robotics companies. The All-In Podcast will also host live interviews from the show floor.

For those who can’t attend in person, the keynote will be livestreamed at nvidia.com with no registration required.

Why this matters for Australia: NVIDIA’s infrastructure announcements directly impact Australia’s sovereign AI ambitions. The government’s National AI Plan and the new AI Safety Institute both depend on access to advanced compute hardware, and NVIDIA’s roadmap will shape what’s available to Australian businesses and researchers.
